US Top 20 Singles: w/e July 22, 1989

Three of these hits were the fourth singles culled from their parent albums: Karyn White's "Secret Rendezvous", Rod Stewart's "Crazy About Her" and Bon Jovi's "Lay Your Hands On Me". "Cold Hearted" was the fifth single taken from Paul Abdul's debut album. Three further hits were featured in movie soundtracks: Prince's absolutely batty "Batdance", Bobby Brown's "On Our Own" from Ghostbusters II and, interestingly, Fine Young Cannibals' "Good Thing" which the band itself actually performed two years earlier in the 1987 movie "Tin Men" as a nightclub band in 1960's Baltimore. Strangely, there was no soundtrack released to retail for that movie and so the track remained unreleased until the band's 1989 album "The Raw And The Cooked".
