US Top 20 Singles: w/e July 4, 1976

Paul McCartney is in this week's top 20 twice with songs 10 years apart - first at #1 with Wings and "Silly Love Songs" and again at #12 with The Beatles' 1966 track "Got To Get You Into My Life" pulled from the then recent compilation "Rock 'N' Roll Music" and presented in this mix in its somewhat questionable version that was exclusive to the 1976 American 45. The left and right channels of the whole compilation were reversed, probably by accident, and when this single was pulled off of it to promote the LP, this error was not fixed and in addition some reverb was added. However, these issues did not prevent it from becoming a hit. Another track in this mix is also presented in its rare, never-on-CD form - Thin Lizzy's tightly edited "The Boys Are Back In Town" 45 - for those into single edits, this one is really well done.
