Narrowcast 5

A therapeutic mix designed to mellow me out and either put me in the right frame of mind as I head to work or to wash away the misery of the work day and relax me as I head home. A handful of covers here... Herd Murmurs covering a great Lucinda Williams track, Pretenders doing Hendrix, Robert Wyatt reworking Chic.

  1. Yes, therapeutic alright. Thanks for another slice of musical education. "Sweet Spot" is incredibly beautiful and I was completely blown away by "Hypnotized". And that Elliott Smith song! Robert Wyatt covering Chic is something else. It took me awhile to understand the enigmatic heading "..and maybe tell you 'bout Phlorida" on the Mixcloud page. Phaedra, Nancy & Lee, aha! Inspired, both uplifting and soothing ending with Mr. Jobim followed by Mr. Ellington.

    1. I was obsessed with that Emmylou & Linda track when it was released.... wonderful track - and yes, that Fleetwood Mac song is sublime, isn't it? My header/title puns often don't hit the mark squarely and land as enigmas... heh, but I'm glad the dots are finally connected! I thank you kindly for your comment and especially for listening, I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
